Active in life
What do we offer
Manual therapy
Hands on therapy to treat musculoskeletal pain and disability. A thorough examination is followed by the treatment including different kinds of manual techniques such as mobilization, stretching and massage to reduce pain and increase range of motion. The local pain as well as the function of the whole chain of muscles, joints and tissue is taken into consideration. Kinesiology tape, Electrical stimulation (TENS/EMS) and laser therapy are also used as treatment.
Therapeutic exercise
The combination of movement therapy and strength training is what makes the success of physiotherapy treatment.
The training of functional mobility through exercises, gait training, balance training etc. seeks to increase function and reduce pain. Muscle tension is relieved, muscles are strengthened, and physiological responses and metabolism are stimulated.
Our therapy room is equipped with training devices
Prevention
If the treatment is purely preventive, no referral is necessary. However, the invoice cannot be submitted to the health insurance company.
Preventive physiotherapy plays a crucial role in preventing injuries and promoting an active lifestyle. Through targeted exercises, individualized care and early detection of risk factors, regular physiotherapy sessions can help improve the body’s health and performance. By taking preventative measures, we can reduce our risk of injury and enjoy a life full of activity and well-being

FAQ
What I need to bring with me?
Please bring all relevant reports and the doctor’s referral to the first therapy session. Otherwise, bring comfortable clothing and a towel or sheet (for the therapy bed).
How long does a session last?
The duration depends on the doctor’s referral and your wishes, between 25 -55 minutes
Do I have to see the therapist that the doctor has noted on the referral?
No. As a patient, you have complete freedom to choose which physiotherapist or practice you would like to visit.
How does the first appointment work?
At the first appointment, precise findings are recorded (what problems, since when, how developed, etc.). A physiotherapeutic working diagnosis is then drawn up using various movement tests and the medical findings. A treatment plan is then drawn up together with you to achieve your defined goals in the best possible way.
At what intervals do the therapy sessions take place?
The intervals are customized depending on your symptoms, your goals and the necessary therapy approaches.
Do I have to do all the prescribed sessions (usually 7 or 10)?
No. We can plan the number of sessions during the course of therapy depending on how your symptoms develop. For example, if you are feeling well after 4 units and the main aim is to continue training independently, you can end the therapy.
Can I add more therapy sessions?
Yes, you will need a new referral from your doctor. This must then be approved by your health insurance provider.
Do I need a doctor’s referral for preventive physiotherapy?
If it is purely preventive treatment, no referral is necessary. However, you cannot submit the invoice to your health insurance company.
When do I have to pay for the therapy series?
ÖGK: The invoice will be sent directly at ÖGK, you don’t have to pay anything.
Other Health insurance Funds: You will receive the invoice at the end of the last session. First you must pay the invoice amount in full. You must then send the invoice with the payment confirmation (printout from online banking) and the doctor’s referral to the relevant health insurance fund (depending on the company, this is also possible online)
